Basic Education Program

Pathfinder Institute Myanmar is a non-profit organization founded in response to the emergent needs of Myanmar following the control of the military regime in early 2021. Our mission is to provide support to children, youth, women, internally displaced people, and government personnel involved in the civil disobedience movement across the country. Originally established to assist Myanmar in its journey toward federal democracy during and after military tyranny, we aim to address the nation’s challenges.

In the aftermath of Myanmar’s political challenges, many lives were left with limited opportunities due to the unstable state of the nation. The youth of the country are currently being denied their right to education that is free from military doctrine and upholds public morals. Recognizing that children are the future of the nation, we are committed to making quality education accessible to those with no alternatives from junta propaganda.

Our focus is on providing basic education from Grade-01 to Grade-11. The course outline is based on the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Education Department, ensuring that the education provided aligns with the principles of democracy and is free from military influence.

To achieve our mission, we promise children the formal education they deserve and offer teachers the support they need. We also implement teacher training programs periodically to enhance the quality of education delivered.
